Julie Paton

Julie was born in Swansea and started working professionally aged 16, where she played Bet in Oliver! with Victor Spinetti. Her West End debut was Alice in Wind in the Willows, and she went on to appear as Marta in Hal Prince and Rob Marshall’s Kiss of the Spider Woman alongside the amazing Chita Rivera, followed by Trevor Nunn’s The Baker’s Wife starring Alun Armstrong.

Julie played Jellylorum and Grizabella in Cats, the narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Rosila in West Side Story at The Leicester Haymarket with Caroline O’Connor. She does a lot of rock gigs all over the world and has her own cabaret act.

Julie is delighted to be back at the Garrick again this year.
